Hi there! I’m Lindsay. I’m a certified orthotist & prosthetist as well as fellow hypermobile human. In my professional career, I work with individuals who need bracing or prosthetic care to function out in the world. In my personal life I work to make sure my body can put up with much of what I demand of it on a daily basis. This includes driving, raising kids, managing my home, navigating insurance for myself, my family, and my patients, and trying to lead a joyful life throughout.

I have worked in orthotics and prosthetics for nearly 15 years & over that time I have found EDS and associated conditions to respond well to bracing, however, often the needs of a person with EDS aren’t well covered by traditional American health care. Often the braces that most benefit folks with EDS are simple solutions, but also include a wide variety of tools on any given day. Unfortunately that is just not how our insurance system prefers to look at medical necessity.

What I can offer, in this format, that is different from my traditional clinic format, is a comprehensive evaluation and recommendation for bracing specific to global instability. We often have grown a collection of supportive tools that live in a box in the closet because they sometimes work, sometimes fit, sometimes help, and sometimes don’t. At the conclusion of our meeting, I’ll generate and send you a personalized shopping list that contains all the carried braces I’d recommend after discussing your greatest complaints. This would allow you to then purchase tools with some guidance as your needs and your finances allow.

I offer three different services.:

  • Pre-consultation email- unsure of the value an evaluation could offer? Email me & we can chat a little before you make any commitment. Fee: $0

  • Virtual Evaluation: Schedule with me via the link below and we can meet via Google Meet for an hour-long conversation. This will include a conversation about your complaints, your goals with bracing, finding solutions/options that will fit in your life, and then an emailed shopping list of the braces we discussed. Fee: $200

  • Follow-up visit: Contact me via email or schedule via the link below for a follow-up virtual call as needed. This can be when your braces arrive if you want to go over ideal fitting & troubleshooting, or later if your needs have changed &. you’re unsure if your current solution remains the appropriate solution. Fee: $50
